The early stages focus on basic survival. Cut trees, gather stone and obtain food, then use a workbench to turn those materials into simple tools and weapons. A basic wooden sword may be enough at first, but stronger equipment becomes necessary as you explore farther from the starting area.

Your character can develop several useful skills, including crafting, hunting, archery and fishing. The game includes many resource types as well as a broad selection of weapons and armor to create. Improving these skills gradually turns the inexperienced survivor into a capable hunter, builder and warrior.

Multiplayer elements can place you against a large number of other players. Form a team when cooperation is useful or fight for valuable loot when necessary. Strong armor and weapons help defend the home base from both natural dangers and human opponents.

The long-term objective is to turn a primitive beginning into a strong and expanding settlement. Gather, craft, hunt, build and train until your character can survive the harsh environment and establish a lasting kingdom despite every threat around it.
