The military outpost itself has been overrun after zombies broke through the main gate and infected most of the unit. Search the area for weapon caches, collect the pistol first and make use of grenades, ammunition and vehicles positioned near parts of the bunker. There may be no complicated objective in some stages beyond eliminating every zombie you can find.

As the campaign grows, gather a much larger arsenal that can include assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns and shotguns. Equip the hero with useful armor and gear, upgrade weapons and improve the character's abilities. The game also introduces the idea of establishing a safer base for survivors, producing food and resources and strengthening the settlement against raids.

The objective is straightforward but intense: stop the outbreak from consuming what remains of humanity. Follow the campaign, protect the survivors, improve the base and prove your shooting skills while clearing the land of the undead.
