Merge Number Squares Game

Merge Number Squares Game is a 2048-style puzzle played on a 4x4 grid. Move all tiles in one direction, combine equal values and keep creating larger numbers until you reach the target tile or can no longer make a valid move.

Use the arrow keys or touch gestures to slide the board. After each move, a new tile—usually a number 2—appears from the opposite side, so every action changes the space available for future combinations.

When two equal tiles touch while moving in the same direction, they merge into a single tile with double the value. If three equal tiles line up, the first two in the direction of movement merge while the remaining tile stays separate.

The values follow powers of two, such as 2, 4, 8, 16 and onward. The classic objective is to create 2048, but you can continue playing beyond that point and try to build an even larger score.

Good strategy is essential because the board can fill quickly. Plan several moves ahead, keep high-value tiles organized and avoid scattering small numbers in positions where they cannot be combined.

Your best score may be stored locally so you can return and try to improve it. Some versions replace plain numbers with cute animals, candy or other icons while preserving the same merging rules.

Colorful visuals and simple sounds make the puzzle relaxing, but the limited 4x4 space gives it considerable strategic depth. Use every empty square carefully and keep merging until you achieve the highest number possible.
